life<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">Angels read verses to send him to Heaven<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">Elkun, your only son who failed to carry your coffin<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">Now I say \u201cmy dear father\u201d and write this obituary\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #030357;\">The naked white poplar trees you planted<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">you were not here when their leaves fell this autumn<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">when the grapes ripened on the vine <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">you were not here to eat them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #030357;\">Sheep call you from their enclosure<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">your hard working hands are not there to feed them<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">even the roosters fall silent to mourn you at dawn<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">now you are not here and your house lacks its pillar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #030357;\">My sky is covered with heavy dark clouds<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">the sun I awaited did not rise today<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">you were the moon who lit my soul <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">now day has become night without you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #030357;\">You were that kind of father in our village<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">you were not there when the desert bloomed through your labour<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">when your grandchild set out on the sea of knowledge<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">when she called you \u201cgranddad\u201d you were not there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #030357;\">Dear father you were a gardener with green fingers<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">when the thorns grow, you are not there to prune them <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\"> you were a doctor and an angel to your patients<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">now my heart is broken but you are not here to cure it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #030357;\">You have left today in your coffin heading towards your tomb<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">your son didn\u2019t carry you because he was not beside you<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">when seven spades full of soil were dropped on you<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">people said farewell to you and you were no longer here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #030357;\">My soul is burning fiercely with this loss<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">let Elkun cry now because he has no father any more <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">I could not see you alive for the last time \u2026<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #030357;\">how sad I was and could find no cure for my grief!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #030357;\">8th November 2017,
